  • A one-day course designed for lower-risk workplaces and services where staff need to be ready to respond quickly and confidently to common emergencies. The training is hands-on, practical and easy to understand, giving learners the skills to manage an incident safely until further help is available. Fully aligned with HSE requirements.

    • The role and responsibilities of a workplace first aider

    • Scene assessment, primary survey and safe working practices

    • Adult CPR and AED use

    • Managing an unresponsive casualty

    • Choking, seizures and shock

    • Bleeding, burns, scalds and minor injuries

    • Using first aid equipment

    • Workplace reporting and incident documentation

  • A comprehensive, in-depth programme for higher-risk environments where a broader range of injuries, illnesses and incidents may occur. This course builds strong, practical competence through realistic scenarios and extended hands-on practice. It covers everything in the 1-day EFAW and adds specialist skills needed to manage serious medical conditions, trauma, and complex casualty care. Fully HSE-approved and suitable for appointed workplace first aiders.

    • Secondary survey and detailed monitoring of casualties

    • Fractures, dislocations, sprains, strains and spinal injuries
